The Documentation Dilemma: Managing Conservation Data in the 21st Century

Ospitato presso il Walzer Art Center di Minneapolis in Minnesota, il 33° incontro annuale dell'American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works sarà interamente dedicato al problema del trattamento e della gestione dei dati riguardanti la conservazione e il restauro attraverso l'impiego delle nuove tecnologie informatiche. Il programma prevede numerose sessioni dedicate a tipologie specifiche di manufatti (pittura, tessuti, sculture lignee, materiali fotografici), ad alcuni argomenti tecnici (es. la struttura e le caratteristiche fisiche dei polimeri),  alla presentazione di progetti di ricerca. Sono previsti numerosi interventi di esperti e studiosi, specializzati in diversi ambiti scientifici dal restauro archeologico all'arte contemporanea, che si alterneranno a workshops di approfondimento.
